Installing Adaptive Presets in Lightroom and ACR

Thanks for downloading my LR/ACR Adaptive Presets! Here you can follow along for how to install Adaptive Presets so they appear in your preset options. These instructions are for the current version of Lightroom Classic and Photoshop 24 (this post last updated July 2024).

INSTALL ADAPTIVE PRESETS IN LIGHTROOM CLASSIC

  1. Locate the downloaded zip file that contains the xmp preset files – DO NOT UNZIP!
  2. In Lightroom, open the Develop module (“D” key is the shortcut)
  3. In the Presets panel on the left side, click the “+” button and choose “Import Presets…” from the dropdown
  4. In the window that opens, navigate to the zip file, select it and click “Import”

The presets should be installed in their own section in your presets panel. Click the small arrow to the left of the set’s name to expand and see all the options.
